The original kitchen was enlarged by removing the wall between the kitchen and rear reception and dividing the through lounge. A new structural beam and column were installed, new timber stud partitions and doors provided the separation. Existing sliding patio doors were removed, new brick walls constructed to allow for the French doors and side lights.
